The FSI Refresh Program™ consists of the following services:
FSI Refresh Program™ Assessment
Returned POLARIS® systems are put through a comprehensive FSI evaluation:
- All modules undergo testing equivalent to new system standards.
- All parts in the fluid path are replaced.
- All defective parts identified during testing are replaced.
During this process, FSI will add customer-specified upgrades to enhance the performance and reliability of the system. FSI customers benefit by receiving a fully functional, up-to-date system at a fraction of a new tool price.
We know our customers are satisfied with their refreshed systems, as three out of four customers place POs for additional refreshed POLARIS® systems within 6 months of delivery.
FSI Refresh Program™ Certified Systems
To be certified, a POLARIS® Refresh Program™ system must pass the same required testing as a new POLARIS® system. As the OEM, FSI is able to clearly identify defective parts and will replace them during the testing and certification process.
Over the years, FSI has implemented POLARIS® system product improvements. To improve a pre-refreshed tool reliability and performance, other parts are replaced, which can result in increased tool life and product performance.
FSI Refresh Program™ Certified Warranty
System warranties cover parts for a specified time period. Labor is covered under a separate, pre-purchased on-site service retainer contract.
The FSI Refresh Program™ encompasses a variety of options:
- Utilization of current layouts to produce a system suited for a specific need. With over 150 layouts to choose from, FSI will find one that meets every customer’s needs.
- Upgrade/update or modify an existing system to match other tools in a customer’s fab.
- Move systems from one location to another location within a fab.
- Relocate systems from one fab to another fab.
- Remove a system, refresh it, and reinstall it in any fab location.
- Locate and obtain a used system, refresh it, and offer it at a lower-than-new price.

Standard Tool Enhancements
As part of the strategy to enhance performance of all existing POLARIS® Systems, FSI is pleased to offer Standard Tool Enhancements to all of our customers. Sent to you upon request, these CDs contain detailed information about available upgrades to increase your throughput, improve critical dimensions and reduce defects. CD information is categorized by model and is easy to use.
FSI is constantly soliciting information to ensure offerings are developed that deliver value to the customer.
